What Is the Eye-Able Seal?

Show Your Commitment with the Eye-Able Seal for Digital Accessibility

The Eye-Able Seal is a digital seal that allows you to visibly demonstrate your proven and ongoing commitment to digital accessibility. It is more than just a badge or symbol. The seal is only awarded after your website or application has been reviewed by accessibility experts from Eye-Able. The review is based on the WCAG guidelines and EN 301 549.

The assessment combines:

  • automated accessibility analyses with Eye-Able tools
  • manual tests carried out by specialists, including people with different disabilities

The focus is not on a one-time test, but on a long-term process that reflects continuous improvements.

What Does the Seal Show Externally?

With the Eye-Able Seal, you transparently demonstrate that accessibility is a permanent responsibility for your organization. The seal links to a public project documentation, where the following can be viewed at any time:

  • which tests have been carried out
  • which measures have already been implemented
  • what the current project progress looks like

This allows users, interested parties, and institutions to clearly understand your commitment.

What Are the Requirements?

To receive the Eye-Able Seal, several conditions must be met, including:

  • a score of at least 80 percent in the Eye-Able Dashboard
  • at least one manual accessibility test
  • approval for the publication of the project documentation

The seal only remains valid as long as these requirements continue to be fulfilled permanently.

Why Is the Eye-Able Seal Useful?

The Eye-Able Seal offers you:

  • an externally verified proof of your commitment
  • transparency and trust for users
  • reliable documentation for authorities and partners
  • the opportunity to present accessibility as a continuous process

It clearly shows that accessibility is not just a mandatory task for you, but an active part of your digital responsibility.
