Why Do I See the Assist Icon Twice in the Desktop Preview of the Assist Configurator?

Overview

In the Assist Configurator, it may happen that the Assist icon is displayed twice in the desktop preview. This behavior is normal and does not indicate an error.

Cause of the Double Display

The double display occurs due to the interaction between your existing website integration and the preview function of the configurator:

• Assist is already integrated on your website.

• When the configurator loads your website, Assist is automatically loaded as well.

The Assist Configurator loads the current version of your website. This results in the regular Assist icon already integrated on your page appearing.

In addition, the configurator always displays its own preview icon.
This preview icon is used to directly test the position, appearance, and changes to the Assist icon.

Result

As a result of this combination, two Assist icons will be displayed in the desktop preview:

• The regular icon already integrated on your website

• The additional preview icon from the configurator

This behavior is intentional and serves only for preview and configuration purposes.

Important to Know

The double display only affects the preview in the Assist Configurator.
On your live website, the Assist icon will not be displayed twice.
