Set the original language of a page in the Dashboard

Why is setting the original language important?

By setting the original language, you define the language in which the page was originally created.

For example, if a page that was originally written in German is first loaded in English and automatically translated, the absence of a defined original language may result in it being translated back into German again.

Defining the original language therefore ensures correct language processing.

How to set the original language

Follow these steps to define the original language of a page:

  1. Open the Eye-Able Dashboard.

  2. Navigate to the “Advanced” tab in the Translate configurator.

  3. Scroll all the way down.

  4. In the dropdown menu “Set page original language”, select the appropriate original language of the page.

  5. Scroll back up and click “Save.”

After selection, the original language is set for the page and will be taken into account accordingly during translation processes.
