If a website does not contain any errors found by Eye-Able® Audit and Eye-Able® Report, is it legally compliant and 100% accessible?
Accessibility & Eye-Able® Audit / Report
A website that does not contain any errors found by Eye-Able® Audit and Eye-Able® Report is not automatically legally compliant and 100% accessible according to WCAG. However, a website on which the audit or report finds errors is almost always not accessible.
Audit and Report aim to cover all automatically testable steps. However, there are still test steps that cannot be detected automatically. These often require a good understanding of the context of the page and a judgement as to the meaningfulness of the content.
We are continuously expanding the number of automatic test steps, including through the use of AI where appropriate. However, we believe that every page should always be tested by those affected. Ultimately, accessibility should be achieved by people for people.
In this context, tests conducted in Eye-Able will play an important role, such as the test for existing alternative texts in Audit.
