How does Eye-Able Access correct errors on the website, and will my changes be overwritten?

Eye-Able® Access corrects errors on your website in a targeted and controlled manner – always based on your previous selection in the Eye-Able Dashboard.

How it works:

1. Open suggestions:

The Access AI makes suggestions for improving the accessibility errors found in the report, e.g. for missing image descriptions (alt text) or missing button labels. You can customise or improve these suggestions.

2. Accept/Decline suggestions:

You can use the action buttons to accept suggestions or decline them to resolve them yourself.

3. Publish changes:

Clicking on ‘Publish changes’ adds all recently accepted suggestions to the Access script. To make the changes visible on your own page, the script must be integrated accordingly. You can find the integration code in the ‘Installation’ menu item.

Example of missing image alternative text:

If an image does not have alt text, a corresponding suggestion is displayed. Once you have accepted this and published the change, the code snippet is added to the Access Script. When the access script is integrated, the system first checks whether the error still exists. Only if the attribute is still missing will it be added via JavaScript. If you have already corrected the error yourself, your change will remain – Eye-Able will not overwrite it.
