Eye-Able Access Product Overview

What is Eye-Able Access?

Eye-Able Access is an AI-powered add-on module for Eye-Able Report which generates specific suggestions for improvements to the tested website based on the report’s findings. These suggestions relate to accessibility issues identified by the report. The aim of the module is to address issues directly and make it easier to rectify them by reducing the amount of manual work required.

How it works

Eye-Able Access uses AI to generate targeted solutions for the accessibility issues found in the report. Access can be found under the relevant menu item in the Eye-Able dashboard. There, the generated suggestions can be customised, accepted or rejected.

Once a suggestion has been accepted, a corresponding code snippet is incorporated into the domain-specific Access script, which is executed on your own website at runtime.

In this way, for example, missing alt text or unlabelled buttons can be automatically added – without directly modifying the website’s code.

Access also detects recurring error elements, even across pages, and offers centralised solutions for these which, once accepted, apply to all instances of that element (provided the CSS selectors are identical).

Furthermore, Access recognises dynamically reloaded content and automatically adapts when the page content changes.

Installation and Integration

Eye-Able Access is integrated by embedding the individual, domain-specific Access script into your own website. This script is embedded in the header and ensures that the changes confirmed in the dashboard are applied to your website.

The script is loaded asynchronously so as not to affect the website’s loading time.

Access can generally be integrated into all modern content management systems (CMS) that allow the insertion of custom HTML or script code, e.g. WordPress, TYPO3, Joomla!, Drupal or Webflow.

Technical Basis

Eye-Able Access is based on the findings of the Eye-Able Report and an AI-powered analysis that builds on the accessibility issues identified therein. The AI provides specific suggestions for rectifying these issues, based on current WCAG testing standards.

Data protection

When using Eye-Able Access, no personal data from website visitors is stored or processed. The tool focuses on the technical improvement of accessibility by providing suggestions for adapting elements of your website, without analysing user data.
