Which Barriers Cannot Be Tested by the Audit?
Automated Audit vs. Guided Tests in the Eye-Able® Dashboard
The automated audit in the dashboard checks all barriers that can be technically detected.
However, there are many accessibility requirements that cannot be tested automatically – for example:
– whether content is clearly written
– whether user guidance is logically structured
Guided Tests
These non-automatable criteria are required by law and are covered under the “Guided Tests” section in the dashboard.
The Guided Tests help manually assess precisely these aspects – for example by evaluating:
– Content
– Context
– Interaction
This ensures that requirements which go beyond purely technical checks are also met.
Important
To fulfill the requirements of the European standard EN 301 549, both the automated report and the guided tests should be used.
