What Happens When an Issue in the Report Is Hidden That Affects a Repeating Element?

In reports, it can happen that an issue is found on multiple pages or in different locations, but essentially relates to the same element. In such cases, the question arises: What happens if this issue is hidden?

Effects on All Occurrences of the Element

If the issue is hidden and the affected element appears multiple times in the report, this means that all occurrences of that element will be hidden.

Even if the same element appears in different locations, it will be completely removed when hidden.

A Single Rule Can Be Fully Hidden

If no other elements have caused the error and hiding the repeating element does not affect any additional sources of error, then hiding this element will also affect the entire rule.

This means that the complete rule is hidden in a single step, even if it is linked to only one single element.

Important Notes

It is especially important to carefully check before hiding a repeating element whether this element is truly the only cause of the issue. Accidentally hiding the entire rule could result in other elements, which are not faulty, being unintentionally hidden.
