Can Report Also Be Used On-Premise?

Overview

Eye-Able Report can also be operated on-premise and used for internal applications or websites that are not externally accessible.

The on-premise deployment makes it possible to run the Report within an internal infrastructure, for example in a Kubernetes cluster, while still using all functions of the Report.

Use Case: Internal Apps and Non-Public Websites

The use of Eye-Able Report is not limited to publicly accessible websites. The Report can also be used for internal applications and websites that are not accessible from outside.

This ensures that internal applications can also be tested for accessibility, without the need for them to be publicly accessible.

Technical Implementation in Your Infrastructure

When using the on-premise deployment, a dedicated container is provided within your infrastructure, for example in a Kubernetes cluster or on internal servers.

The scan is executed within your infrastructure. The results of the scans are then transferred to the Eye-Able servers and are subsequently visible in the Eye-Able Dashboard.

Important Technical Requirements

For the on-premise deployment of Eye-Able Report, certain system requirements must be met:

  • 4 CPU cores

  • 16 GB RAM recommended

  • Internet connection with at least 16 Mbit

  • Port 443 (HTTPS) must be open

  • Access to the Eye-Able API domain

  • 5 GB of free storage space for temporary files

  • Docker Desktop or a similar container environment

In addition, it must be ensured that the website to be tested is accessible within the network in which the container is executed.

Usage in the Deployment Process

The container can, for example, be integrated into existing deployment processes or executed automatically on a regular basis, such as through scheduled jobs.

This makes it possible to perform regular scans of internal applications.
