Automatic PDF improvement

We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of your PDFs. Please note:

  • We cannot guarantee 100% PDF/UA compliance
  • Not all errors can be fixed automatically

Current focus of optimisation

The tool currently focuses on the following improvements:
  • Tagging of documents
(essential for accessible use, e.g. by screen readers)
  • Adding metadata
such as document title and language

Future development

We are currently identifying further sources of errors that can be corrected automatically. We will provide you with detailed information on optimisation in the near future.

What remains unchanged?

The layout and appearance of the PDFs are not affected by the improvement.

Autotagging as a common source of errors

One of the biggest sources of errors is autotagging. In most cases, this can be completely corrected by our tool.
