Where does the report crawl get its links?
The report crawl starts on the page specified in the license – this is usually the homepage of the domain. From there, the system creates an internal list of all internal links that can be found on the website. Links that are found first are checked first (First In, First Out).
Link List and Crawl Process
This link list is then processed in order. With each additional page load during the crawl process, new links are discovered and added to the list. The link list grows with each additional crawl step until either all reachable links are captured or the limit defined in the crawl is reached.
Control via Report Settings
Through the report settings in the dashboard, you can control which pages should be checked. Special priority is given to sitemaps or specific links that have been explicitly added to the report and need to be checked regularly. These are treated as a priority, regardless of the order in the link list, and are crawled first.
