How Does Eye-Able® Assist Handle Complex Media Content Like Videos and Interactive Elements?

Support for Complex Media Content with Eye-Able® Assist

Eye-Able® Assist is designed to enhance accessibility for as many users as possible, even when dealing with complex media content such as videos, audio files, and interactive elements.

The following functions can be used to improve accessibility:

Support for Captions and Transcripts

Eye-Able® Assist supports the display of captions and embedded transcripts for video content – for example, by allowing text enlargement or by using contrast mode, which makes text more visible.

Compatibility with Screen Readers

Eye-Able® Assist is compatible with screen readers.
Additionally, our built-in text-to-speech feature can be used to read content aloud.

Important: In order for media content to be accessible via screen reader, transcripts must be available.
If a video, for instance, does not include captions, Assist cannot generate them – the content cannot then be made fully accessible.

Improved Keyboard Navigation

Interactive elements such as menus, sliders, or videos can be fully operated using the keyboard with Eye-Able® Assist – an essential function for users with motor impairments.

Note: If a website contains faulty code that hinders usability, Eye-Able® Assist cannot correct this.
