AI credits – what are they and how are they used?

In this article, you will learn what AI credits are, how your annual quota works, and what they can be used for in the Eye-Able Dashboard.
What are AI credits?

What are AI credits?

AI credits are a fixed annual usage quota for certain AI-based functions within the dashboard.

How does the quota work?

You have a set number of AI credits available each year, as specified in your contract. After 365 days, your usage is automatically reset – you then start again with your full annual allowance.

How are AI credits used?

AI credits are used when you use certain tools in the dashboard. These include, for example:

  • Simplifying text in the ‘Plain Language’ section
  • Uploading documents for automated simplification
  • Improving PDFs under the ‘PDFs’ menu item
  • Using the transcription and Ally features

Future AI features in the dashboard may also consume AI credits.
